I started taking drum lessons at age 14 while picking up guitar, bass, and keys around that time. A couple years later, I started playing in churches as well as performing with local bands during high school. I then began casually teaching a few lessons and quickly learned that I absolutely loved it!
I joined the Studio Music & Jazz program at the University of Tennessee where I continued studying percussion while picking up more on other instruments, learning how to read & write music, & taking extensive ear training courses. Fast forward 10 years and I’ve recorded on albums and played music all over the US, I’ve been teaching for over 15 years, & I want to share everything I’ve learned with you!
